Hotel DC

My stay and experience at Hotel DC, Stratford was unexpectedly really good. I was concerned initially due to some reviews here on Booking and on Google reporting about bed bugs and old condition of the hotel. I was given a room on the 2nd floor and apart from usual stains on the floor caused by the footfall a hotel gets, the whole experience was very good. I will recommend this hotel (review written in Jan. 2026) to anyone needing to stay in this area. Thank you

Rooms are small but very well furnished and very clean. Everything throughout looks very new and we'll maintained. The staff are great. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast included is fairly simple but plentiful, and good enough quality. The always-available free coffee machine is a real bonus. There are a couple of small supermarkets nearby, some shops and restaurants but it's not a going-out destination. Reception desk has snacks available for sale.

Having stayed one-week for work, the room does exactly as it needs to; with both heating and air conditioning to ensure the optimal temperature. The shower facilities are really good also. The staff are superb. 24-hour manned reception desk and everybody has been extremely helpful. Every morning is met with pleasantries and every evening wishing you a good sleep. I would highly recommend. I will certainly stay again.

we used the accommodation during the end of January when the price was 173 pounds for 3 nights for 2 adults. we got a cozy room on the lower ground floor with a private bathroom. in terms of price/performance it was probably the best you could get. we had breakfast included which was traditional british every morning. breakfast was the same every morning, but I wouldn't see a problem with that, there was a choice of more dishes, we just missed some vegetables, we bought them ourselves in a nearby shop. a big advantage was the 24/7 accessible coffee machine and free lemonade. the hotel is located a 10 minute walk from the railway elizabeth line, which takes you directly to the city center. however, the hotel is located on a poorer street where it is good to be careful after dark. the typical inhabitants of this location are muslims, so I would not recommend returning to the hotel after dark for women traveling alone. The only thing that was bad in the room was the emergency light on the ceiling of the room which shone with a bright green light all night after all the lights were turned off. so I recommend an eye cover for sleeping. otherwise if we return to London next time, I will happily return to the same hotel.

Great place to stop for my overnight visit. Just a 20m walk from Stratford Station too. Rooms modern clean and tidy. Staff very friendly. English breakfast was basic but reasonable With free refills on coffee available throughout my stay.

Bit of a late review but I was a first time solo traveller, I stayed here Oct 24-27 2025, I have friends in surrounding areas and I stayed here as it was close to places I wanted to be including MCM comicon! - was a little anxious they didn’t let my friend to the room with me when I first got there. Other than that 0 complaints was clean friendly and more than helpful. No bed bugs or any other bugs at all (despite prior reviews) breakfast was simple but nice. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and very hygienic and well ventilated. Would definitely return!

We stayed as a group of four adults with two children under 12, and the hotel thoughtfully arranged two adjacent rooms for us, which worked perfectly. The rooms were pristine, modern, and exceptionally clean, with no corners cut when it came to facilities. We had everything we needed—TV, heating and cooling, tea and coffee-making facilities, a modern shower, and plenty of power sockets. I particularly loved the generous space in the room, which made it easy to move around and store luggage comfortably. We opted for the full English breakfast, which was excellent included as part of the room booking. Customer service throughout the hotel was top-notch, with staff available 24/7 and always happy to help. On-site parking is available with prior booking, and there’s also the option to extend your stay with a late checkout, which was very convenient. Breakfast can get a little busy depending on the season, but it was well managed by the staff. The buffet was well stocked with a generous selection of hot food, and everything ran smoothly. The lounge area was another highlight, with comfortable sofas, a TV to relax by, and complimentary drinks and coffee available 24/7. Overall, I was genuinely impressed by the quality and service at this property and would happily stay here again. It’s ideal for families and is conveniently located—just a 10-minute drive from Westfield and Stratford train stations. Highly recommended.

Neat and clean professional services lift was useful free coffee was great toilet was clean and enough toilet paper was available front side car park was good warm shower and heating ran perfectly guests liked it street side bus stops were helpful. Staffs were friendly and helpful.
